FTMO's Instant Account Launch Gets a Cold Reception on X as Traders Question the Price Tag
PropFirmsInsider News Desk | 15 October 2026

FTMO has launched the Instant Account, a new product that gives traders an active FTMO account the moment it is purchased, with no evaluation phase. The Prague-based firm announced it on X on October 12, 2026, pointing users to separate promo pages for global and US audiences. The announcement passed 673,000 views.
According to FTMO's website, the Instant Account offers simulated capital from $5,000 to $100,000, paid for with a one-time fee. The account is active on purchase, and traders can start immediately. FTMO says traders become eligible to withdraw 90% of their simulated profits as a reward.
The published trading objectives are:
- ●Max loss: 10%
- ●Max daily loss: 3%
- ●Leverage: up to 1:100
- ●Trading period: unlimited
- ●Consistency rule: 30%
FTMO describes the 10% max loss and 3% daily loss as giving strategies room to work. The account can also be tried through FTMO's Free Trial, and a comparison table sets it against the firm's existing Challenges. The page notes that FTMO provides simulated trading and educational tools only, does not act as a broker and does not accept deposits. A fee schedule for each account size was not displayed on the promotional page at the time of writing.
Reaction on X has been largely critical, with pricing the main complaint. Several traders called the product overpriced, and some cited about $3,000 for the $100K size, a figure that comes from commenters and not from FTMO's page. One user said other reputable firms offer better plans at lower prices. Others objected to the 30% consistency rule, with some asking FTMO to remove it from the Instant plan, and one user questioned the value of a trailing-drawdown model at that price. Some traders asked about payout conditions. A smaller group was positive: one said the account "looks great" and another said they were looking forward to getting one. Other replies raised practical questions on KYC, regional availability and customer support.
Traders have not yet seen FTMO respond to the pricing and rule concerns raised in the replies reviewed. The account's wider reception is likely to depend on how its full fee structure compares with competing instant-funding offers.
